CellStatus

class CellStatus(*values)

Cell status bits used by cell_validator().

Most cell status values are used by vtkCellValidator directly. Additional PyVista-exclusive values are also included.

Enum Members

VALID = 0x0

Cell is valid and has no issues.

WRONG_NUMBER_OF_POINTS = 0x1

Cell does not have the minimum number of points needed to describe it.

INTERSECTING_EDGES = 0x2

2D cell has two edges that intersect.

INTERSECTING_FACES = 0x4

3D cell has two faces that intersect.

NON_CONTIGUOUS_EDGES = 0x8

2D cell’s perimeter edges are not contiguous.

NON_CONVEX = 0x10

2D or 3D cell is not convex.

INVERTED_FACES = 0x20

Cell faces do not point in the direction required by its CellType.

NON_PLANAR_FACES = 0x40

Vertices for a face do not all lie in the same plane.

DEGENERATE_FACES = 0x80

Faces collapse to a line or a point through repeated collocated vertices.

COINCIDENT_POINTS = 0x100

Cell has duplicate coordinates or repeated use of the same connectivity entry.

INVALID_POINT_REFERENCES = 0x10000

Cell references points outside the mesh’s points array.

ZERO_SIZE = 0x20000

1D, 2D, or 3D cell has zero length, area, or volume, respectively.

NEGATIVE_SIZE = 0x100000

1D, 2D, or 3D cell has negative length, area, or volume, respectively.
